"High Desert Master Gardener Certification Course"

The Mojave Desert Resource Conservation District, along with its partners, the City of Victorville, Mojave Desert and Mountain Integrated Waste Management JPA, and the Mojave Water Agency, is offering an 8-week comprehensive and desert adapted horticulture course. This program is ideally suited for anyone interested in learning more about plants and gardening in the high desert.

The course covers soils, fertilizers, plant diseases and pests, use of pesticides, plant propagation, pruning, vegetables and fruit trees, plant material selection, efficient turf, irrigation, and much more.

The course is offered each session throughout the high desert, with an upcoming fall session at Barstow College.
