Science Fair Dates, Locations and Times

  • The AAE K-1 Grade Science Festival at the Thunderbird Campus (TBC) will be held on Thur., February, 18, 2010.
    • Contact Bridget Peeper for more information at bpeeper@lcer.org
    • Parents can come to the TBC to view the projects between 5:30 and 6:30 before the awards assembly at the TBC Theater.
    • Awards will be presented @ 6:00 p.m. for K and 6:30 p.m. for 1st grade, room 5.
  • The AAE 2-4th Grade Science Festival at the Corwin Campus (CC) will be held on Wed., February 17, 2010.
    • Contact Mrs. Rollins for more information at mrollins@lcer.org
    • Parents can come to the CC view the projects 5:30 pm in a room TBD.
    • Awards will be presented @ 7:30 p.m. in a room TBD.
  • The AAE 5-6th Grade Science Festival at the Moave River Campus (MRC) will be held on Thur., February 25, 2010 .

    • Parents can come to the MRC view the projects (TBA) in the C bldg.
    • Awards will be presented @ 6:30 in C bldg of Thur., February 25, 2010.
  • The AAE MS/HS Science Festival will be held on Tue, February 23, 2010.
    • Students will set up their boards between 8:30 a.m -2:00 p.m. and judging will occur between 2:00 and 4:30 on the 23th .
    • Parents can come starting at about 5:30 p.m.and view the projects in the C Bldg.
    • Awards will be presented @ 6:30 p.m. next door in the C Bldg.
  • Apple Valley Unified School District Science & Engineering Fair:
    • The 2010 AVUSD Science Fair will be held @ Church of the Valley on Friday March 5, 2010,
    • .Contact Mr. Huffine @ 946-5414 ext 238 ( mhuffine@lcer.org ). The deadline for getting school winners registered for the AVUSD Science Fair is February 26th.
  • Inland Empire Science & Engineering Fair:
    • 2009-2010 IESEF will be held @
      • National Orange Show, Damus Building, 689 South E Street, San Bernardino, California on Tuesday April 13th, and the awards presentation on the evening of the 14th. 4-5th Grade Awards - Citrus Building- 5:30 pm, 6-12th Grade Awards - Citrus Building - 7:30 p.m.

Opens February 23rd and closes on March 10th, 2010.

    • The signup fee (not entry) for the 2009-2010 fair was $30/student payable to SBCSS.
    • Students in grades 4 to 5 can register on line at this link
    • Students in grades 6 and up can register online at this link
    • Download a 4th to 5th grade or 6th-12th grade forms here (.pdf).
      • Elementary Division (grade 4-5th grade)
      • Junior Division (grade 6-8th grade)
      • Senior Division (grade 9-12th grade)
        • Abstracts are require for online registration. Here are some examples to help guide you in writing yours.
  • State Science Fair was held on May 17-18, 2010 at the California Science Center in Exposition Park, Los Angeles.
