Don’t start a science fair project without first going over your plans with your parent/guardians and your teacher.

No project may use consumable alcohol, tobacco or illegally obtained narcotics and/or controlled substances. This includes projects that include surveys that compare the use of these substances.

Don’t plan on using the following items without first getting the appropriate permission (parental and teacher) and the appropriate certification:

• Live vertebrate animals,
• Human subjects,
• Tissue samples

Don’t submit a previously investigated topic/project if all you did was change the display.
