For many people the word test is a synonym for anxiety. Test anxiety hits us when all the knowledge leaves our mind moments before the start of a test. For most of us it's a thing of the past, but for many of our children it's a regular occurance. It's of particular concern now that students must pass a high school exit exam before recieving their diploma.

Knowing that a teacher cares about my child's success and struggles as much as I do is a great source of comfort. I understand the importance of academivs and discipline in the classroom, but when I envision the ideal teacher for my child, I think of someone who will work with me to meet his or her needs.
